This page details my project of building 2 16' diameter Gers (Yurts). The materials list is as accurate as I could make it and costs are my actual costs to buy the stuff. Hopefully this will help you if you decide to build one (or two) of your own. I'm no expert on this. In fact, The only other one I have built is a 6' diameter kid sized Ger. I used some design elements that are unorthodox, but they do seem to work well. Your mileage may vary.

  • +/- 16' diameter
  • 5'10" ground to roof band
